Celery

Celery (Apium graveolens) is a popular marsh-land vegetable in the family Apiaceae, widely grown for its crunchy, fibrous stalks.

Storage

Cilantro can be stored in the fridge for about 1 week. It is no longer good if it becomes slimy or turns brown.

Usage

Whole Celery Storage Method: Trim the bottom root end and place the celery bunch upright in a glass jar with an inch or two of water, then cover loosely with a plastic bag in the fridge. Change the water every few days.

Pre-Cut Celery Sticks: Cut the celery into sticks, place them in a glass or airtight container, and submerge them completely in cold water.

Reviving Limp Celery: If your celery goes limp, it has only lost water. Cut off a small slice from the bottom base and set the stalks in a glass of cold water in the fridge for a few hours to restore their crunch.
