Grapes
A grape is a fruit, botanically a berry, of the woody vines of the flowering plant genus Vitis. The cultivation of grapes began approximately 8,000 years ago and hold cultural significance in many parts of the world, particularly for their role in winemaking.
We’re currently carrying Flame Grapes, a heavy-bearing red table grape cultivar known for its crisp texture, sweet flavor, and bright ruby-red color.
Storage
Store unwashed grapes in their original perforated plastic bag or a breathable vented container. Place a paper towel inside to absorb extra moisture, and keep them in the coldest part of your refrigerator. Do not wash before storing because water removes the natural protective white coating (bloom) and traps moisture, which causes mold.
Usage
Grapes are versatile fruits that can be eaten raw fresh, frozen, or dried. Grapes are used for juices, wines, and other grape-derived products including various types of jam, vinegar and oil.
